Nature’s Pattern

Shapes of the Living World
About The
Exhibition

Nature’s Pattern: Shapes of the Living World is the seventh edition of the Galeri Khazanah virtual exhibition series, presented through a hybrid experience across virtual and physical platforms. Featuring 40 artworks and objects by 21 Malaysian artists and textile and ceramic artisans, the exhibition brings together Malaysian artworks, photography, and traditional craft in a shared exploration of nature, environment, and everyday life.

Organised into five thematic virtual rooms — Lobby, Pavilion, Glass Room, Peranakan, and Traditional House — the exhibition invites visitors to discover how artists interpret the shapes, textures, patterns, and rhythms found in the living world. From expressive abstract compositions and atmospheric landscapes to documentary photography, woven textile and handcrafted ceramic, each artwork offers a different perspective on how nature continues to influence artistic expression across generations.

More than a presentation of artworks, the exhibition offers an opportunity to experience the connections between people, natural environment, and creativity. Visitors are invited to explore how forms found in nature are transformed into visual language while gaining deeper insight into the diversity of Malaysian artistic practices and cultural traditions.
